What is the service called?
The service is known in the industry as Carrier Pre-Selection. This name was
developed by OFTEL who regulate the UK Telecoms market.
What sort of savings
can I expect?
We would typically expect to save our customers at least 30% against BT pricing.
However, The Telecom Broker can create bespoke tariffs for individual customers
dependent on the volume and type of calls they make.
Will I need to change my numbers?
No your numbers will stay exactly as they are.
I am already enjoying cheaper call
costs through a different carrier; can I still move to The Telecom Broker
and expect to make further savings?
YES! In most cases we would still expect to save you a further 15-20% against
other major carriers. Contact us with your latest bill and let us discuss
your needs.
Will you need to send an engineer out
to re-program my switch?
NO! BT will activate this service at your local exchange. We do not need to
send any engineers out to adjust your telecoms equipment.
Will I need to dial a code before each
number I call?
NO! Bt will activate this service at your local exchange. You will not need
to dial any access codes to take advantage of this service.
Will I need to install a router box
on my phone lines?
NO! BT will activate this ser vice at your local exchange. You will not need
to add any equipment to your phone lines.
How do you bill my company?
You will receive a fully itemised bill for your call charges every month.
Payment is usually collected via Direct Debit fourteen days later.
Can I expect any other charges?
No.
Do I have to make every call using
The Telecom Broker?
No! You will be able to make calls through any other provider with whom you
have arranged services (including BT) by dialling an indirect access code
before the number you want to call.
Will I need any new phone lines or
equipment?
No! You will operate with the same lines and equipment as you do now. However,
if you want to order new lines for a specific application or new location,
The Telecom Broker can provide you with these, including DSL, Analogue and
Digital ISDN lines.
Can I change my service provider later?
YES! We do everything in our power to ensure that our customers get the best
possible mix of service, quality and pricing, but if at any time you are not
satisfied with our service you can switch to any other company by giving us
30 days notice.
What if I change my address?
If you change your address you must contact us as soon as possible and we
will switch your service to your new address.
What if I change my telephone numbers?
If you change your phone numbers, you can contact us and we will switch your
service over to your new numbers. This works in the same way if you wish to
add any new numbers.
What if I have Teleworkers working
for me?
It does not matter how many numbers you wish to add to the service, we can
include them all on your account. This includes any staff you have working
from home. You would still receive a consolidated bill each month with all
the numbers the service is active on and the calls that each number has made.
